This is on I-75 between Dayton and Cincinnati Ohio.
Their could be many more. A lot of Jesus freaks out there. Just sayin that the
kind of money that this cost to build and maintain could be spent on better
endeavors.

Heywood Banks, a well know comedian-musician has a song about this statue.

My sis lives near Dayton and she & her friends call this the touchdown
Jesus. Also all agree that the money for this could've been better spent. How
many people could've been fed or sheltered for that amount? Just another example
of why I left organized religion behind a long time ago. Isn't there something
in the Bible about not worshiping graven images?

It's called The Solid Rock Church and it's like a small college campus. Located
in Monroe Ohio (that's the view from I-75)

Could the money used to build this statue have been used to feed the hungry or
house the homeless? Maybe... Money donated to a charity such as a church may
have strings attached and has to be used in the way the donor requires. If it
is not, the charity can be sued for misuse of the funds. So it is possible that
the money spent on this statue may have been donated for this specific purpose.
The only options the charity has it to use the money as required, to return it,
or go to Court to have it released. It is very hard to get a Court to release
the money.

I'm sure the money probably was donated for this specific project. I'm
questioning why people would donate it for this when there are so many other
things that are more deserving and in keeping with Christ's teachings.

Donated or not, the $$ could definitely been put to much more humanitarian uses
than this.
One of the biggest problems with organized religions is they seem to cater more
to their own sense of largess and excess than they do in adhering to the basis
of the teachings they so loudly profess to believe in

If I'm not mistaken, the Bible says "Use as much money as possible to
build ridiculous and useless monuments to the glory of Jesus - the more
ostentatious the better. Only by conspicuously worshiping Christ can you prove
how much better you are than everyone else and impress your neighbors and
co-workers."
