i believe we have plenty of oil left on this earth to get us to the next phase
in energy supply and distribution - call me a technocrat, but never once have we
had a technological problem that couldnt be solved by a technological solution.
cold fusion or controled direction of the suns energy onto plants will come
about. im not worried

we WILL run dry long before people have calculated.
but that's good for my family, because we regulate how much is taken every year
as to keep a surplus........MO MONEY, MO MONEY!
fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: February 01, 2006 05:11AM
yes that's true, but the wealth monster created in the middle east cannot be
depleted now.
they are too wealthy now to run dry.
30 years too late

I thought we went to war for oil!! Where the fuck is it!!Drill in Alaska, fuck
the rag heads!!

It was only conspriracy theorists who thought we went to war for oil. When we
go into Iran it will not be for oil either.

that you could let yourself be lead to believe there was 1 and only 1 reason to
enter Iraq is laughable. President dipshiite has stated himself there were many
reasons.
Only the gullible person believes that OIL was not one of the MANY reasons seen
for removing Saddam.

unfortunately there is very little oil in Alaska. Otherwise it would have been
drilled for long ago.

wrong about Alaska! the environmentalists are too much trouble to get Alaska
tapped!
there is more oil there than we need to offset foreign exportation.
but it will never happen, because we know that massive depletion of oil reserves
does to the environment, and Americans in general will not stand for the raping
of our last frontier.
we would rather make some fanatic that hates us and our way of life richer
beyond his wildest dreams.
pretty fucking stupid, because money creates megalomania among the Arab psyche.

pure propaganda. If there were oil worth drilling for in Alaska it would have
been done in 1900. that is before environmentalists even existed.
That fact is there is no substantial quantity of oil in the Anwar territory. The
amount is only expected to provide 1% of US need. That is a losing effort.

Comon' Beast. Alaska HAS oil.
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: February 01, 2006 08:54PM
most of the oil pumped out of alsaka is sold to Japan.

Sure I know Alaska as a whole has oil in it. However there is very little in the
Anwar territory that oil nuts want to drill in.
Major oil companies have moved on from pursuing Anwar because they know their is
no significant oil there.

hey dcbeast - i think we didnt drill in alaska in 1900 was because we had no
idea how much was up there and there wasnt nearly the resources to work in such
an environment not to mention transportation of the oil

next step. does the word hydrogen mean something?
woberto Report This Comment Date: February 03, 2006 11:05PM
Try again anonymous. You can't make hydrogen an a large scale without burning
fossil fuels to make electricity. Give it another 10 years.
