bronze Dagger from Bronze Age Egypt dating to around 800 - 600 BC. This
fantastic weapon has survived Intact and Untouched; there still is a sharp point
on the blade. It is aerodynamic, and enjoys a gorgeous olive green patina and
age related encrustation. The back of the handle enjoys ribbed decoration. Most
unusually, some of the original bone handle still survives under the intact
bronze handle flaps. This is extremely rare; we have only seen this twice before
in over 20 years of handling ancient art. Overall length: 14 1/2 inches.
Old English collection via auction house, UK. Allegedly excavated from Egypt
centuries ago. From a grand tour collection.
Price: $600.00
