Ignore him Andy, it makes better sense than many so-called Enlish speakers
They used to race over the pass in the various Alpine rallies. Isn't it the
highest road pass in Europe?

Yes, I have mistaken; Until 1938, when the Iseran (Fra), 2770 m was opened, it
was the highest pass in Europe to be reached by car. The Stelvio is not an
essential through-route, but it is one of the most magnificent mountain passes
to be found in Europe. It is incomparably finer from the scenic angle: indeed,
many consider it scenicaly the finest of all the Alpine passes. It's possible to
climb the Stelvio pass from two different sides.
