I know this is getting off topic but if I remember my history lessons from school the Americans knew the Japanese were planning an attack weeks ahead of time because we (British Intelligence) told them and one radar operator somewhere in the Colonies even saw the planes attacking but when he told his supervisor he was told they would deal with it after lunch. Looks like the Americans never learn. They had credible intel before Pearl Harbor and even radar readings so they knew the raid was on it's way just like they had intel ahead of the attack on 11th September 2001 but they chose to do nothing then.
