Saw Midnight Oil with Counting Crows opening before Counting Crows had even released one album.
Both were good, but Midnight Oil sort of disappeared and Counting Crows should have stopped after their third album.

Midnight Oil have reformed to do the Tsunami concert in Sydney on the 31st (I think that's the date). Yes, Garret is a greenie, who joined the Australian Labor Party.

A bit of a sellout move, but his and his band's music forms the platform on which a lot of Australian rock is built.
