I thank America! For coming to help us after we beat Germany in the Battle of Britian. Thank you for not helping us when we has a few hundred planes left and the Germans had thousands. Thank you for helping us after we kicked Germany ass on our own. And more importantly I thank Russia for beating Germany.

America needed us as much as we needed them.. but to be fair we owe them a lot but we would never have lost to germany we would have pulled all of our troops back home and defended our island,

American's are funny. Is it that they are convinced of their own superiority or they jsut talk about it all the time and hope they will believe it one day?

Oh, it is only the Union Jack when hoisted from the mast of a ship, otherwise it is the Union flag.

Just another example of American insularity and their belief they are superior TiW. What did you do in the war 60192? (Any war) Don't remember the last time you won one on your own.

It took a (surprise??) attack to bring your country into WW2. We had our Allies before you were involved my friend, including our Australian friends....to whom this site belongs BTW.

Get your facts straight before you post, arsehole redneck.

Any country which re-elects Bush does not really deserve respect.

I do not remember the German military surrendering to the Russians? Which war are we talking about? As for America helping, well if you read your history you will see that they only came when they were asked.Prior to that the European nations thought they could do it alone. Why is it that people always twist things to secure thier pride?

It is couious to see that some americans need so much to state their supposed superiority that they go and shout it out also when it s out of topic: will you tell me why the hell if one publish a british flag then someone else hase to comment that USA is superior? I think Tiw's comment describes perfectly this situation when he says that some americans "are funny. Is it that they are convinced of their own superiority or they jsut talk about it all the time and hope they will believe it one day?".
Nice comment Tiw, I enjoied it smiling

Couldn't be because of the almost nonstop America bashing that goes on on this site, could it? If you look closely you will notice, 60192 says "if it weren't for them" not "if it weren't us" so one would figure he or she is not American. Everybody just automatically assumed he/she was an American.

Thats my biggest question about all this stuff, why is everyone bashing America? What did they do to your country? or you personally for that fact. I think if you can dish it out you should very well be able to take it back. It's sickly ironic how everyone everywhere rants and raves about unity, yet they do shit like this.

I have American friends, both in real life and on the net. I joke with them and they with me. I don't want to live in America but have nothing against anyone who does smiling

I don't think any country is perfect but we each love our own country more than certain others, this is the way it should be smiling

If I understood the meaning of the word "bash", then personally I am not bashing america, I am just saying it is curious, and after a while boring, to hear americans stating their superiority (with no reason) every five minutes (in this site). ...and I think I'll stop stating this otherwise I'll become boring just like them smiling

The ideological position common to nearly everyone in the Yankee system is that America is best, its ideals perfect, its history spotless, its actions and society at the highest levels of human achievement and greatness. To argue with that -- if that is at all possible -- is to be "un-American" and guilty of the cardinal sin of anti- Americanism, which derives not from honest criticism but for hatred of the good and the pure. Pathetic

You know what?Try to bleed me.Maybe that will stop my hysterical laughing at your childish comments and gloating over "W's" landslide mandate{Stussy--Mandate doesn't mean that "W" wants to date you.] But don't worry...Jaque Cirac is available. If a lib accomplished what President Bush has...the corrupt thugs and despots of the fading "United Nations"would be falling over themselves to nominate our President to receive a "Nobel" Hopefully he would reject any token from a group of nitwits...
