Been waitin for some time now to see if any news organization would mention it, but they haddn yet, so ..... has anyone considered even that magical 7.1 million sign ups they claim that shows Obozocare to be a success actually represents less than 3% of the population (*facepalm*)

All of the lying about how many people are shopping, in checkout, purchasing, HOW MANY HAVE ACTUALLY PAID, the list of lies is long and humanly embarrassing.

Ask the White House criminals about numbers and they have no idea, that these things just can't be known, somehow.
Ask Amazon.com and they can give you numbers on any aspect of business down to the minute. THAT'S how computers work.

Now that they fixed they way numbers are interpreted they can brag about the results. Shenanigans.

How many of those who signed up had their previous insurance canceled because of odamna care and how many didn't have insurance before?

The only news service which talks about the numbers was Fox News that I have found.

How many here have signed up?

We have a universal healthcare called Medicare which I wholeheartedly support (and pay for via taxes PLUS I pay $4k per year for private insurance for myself and my wife)

Then you are one of the lucky ones who kept his healthcare. I have medicare but it sounds like the government is trying to destroy it as well. My youngest daughter had no insurance until she qualified for medicaid recently. What does a family do when they have to chose between insurance and rent or food? That's the choices many people are facing now and have faced for years.

That's pretty funny.

Jg: this site is run by Australians. It's in the 'about' page where the name came from

Anyway to be honest I don't know how the Americans are doing this health care thing, but I do support universal health care.

Must have been a momentary lapse in memory. I also support a universal healthcare system but odamnacare is not it.

It's as close as we're gonna get with a corporate controlled congress and we'd have gotten the same thing with Romney, since it's based on a plan he co-authored. You can pin a lot of shit on shit on Obama but I don't think this one will stick.

With a ridiculous law, penned by special interest groups, minions and demochimp underlings, carrying his own name in the common references to it (depending of course on whether recent polling on it or the topic of discussion at the moment if favorable or not, then of course it's referred to as the ACA), then shoved through a democrhimp congress on straight party line voting I would say it's hard to put any distance between Obozo and Obozocare.

While it could be speculated that Romney would have proposed something similar, it's pretty doubtful that could be a given, much less that congress would have enacted it since the Repugs would have lined up against it, just like they did Obozocare.

The reality is it's an awful mish mash of bullshit, catering to lots of Obozos backers, believers in "social justice", panders to the illegals community and of course his corporate support minions. The real truth is it will negatively impact many people who already had suitable coverage, forcing them into coverage they don't need, with deductibles well above what they had previously at increased costs while similarly impacting many in the same groups it was claimed to be designed to help (*facepalm*)

For just the amount of money the administration wasted on setting up the fucking Obozocare website and all the bandaid fixes to that humongous cluster fuck alone they could have instead given every man, woman and child in the US 2 million dollars to have been placed into private healthcare accounts for them to have drawn upon for their individual HC costs.

My guess is JUST the annual administrative costs for the Obozocare system will likely cost that amount again next year and then mushroom every year afterwards, since that's what govt programs ALWAYS do, so such a plan could be outlined so those HC accounts could have been continued in perpetuity without raising any taxes, creating whole new classes of federal criminals, nor pandering to special interests and it would have been a win-win for the American people all around.

Instead, we got sold a shitty bill of goods that an overwhelming majority of the electorate oppose today, just like they did when it was legislated into law hot smiley

Fair enough observations Kim. I think my point is that the whole shitin' Sherrie we call the government is fucking rigged and has been since I can recall and it doesn't matter who holds control, it is still the same control game whether it is Demoncraps or Repugnicunts. We see it over and over again.

Yep, unless and until people wake up to the realization that the current 2 party political system is really just 2 sides of the same coin, both out for money, influence and power, with no concern for who gets burned along the way in that pursuit, we're just straight up fucked.

One group that really gets me riled are those who claim voting for a candidate you believe in outside the 2 main parties is simply throwing your vote away. They simply point up the lunacy of backing a candidate simply because of the R or D that gets thrown after their name and are totally clueless to the concept of voting with actual commitment for a candidate you can support drinking

How can "the people" do away with the 2 party system? Who is capable of finding a replacement for it?
Mrkim Report This Comment

It's simple, start voting for the candidate that supports YOUR positions instead of what ever party they're aligned with.

Is it quick and easy and a no brainer way of doing things? Nope, it takes time, effort, study and diligence.

If you're not willing to make the required investments mentioned, rest assured, nothing will change drinking

How does that do away with the 2 party system? I do agree with voting for politicians beliefs and standpoints regardless of party affiliation but what if you agree with the views of the person and they are a member of one of the 2 parties? This is what I have been doing by being a registered democrat and voting republican in so many elections. The problem is even with tons of research it is impossible to get to the truth about what a politician really believes, they say one thing and when elected they do something totally different.
Mrkim Report This Comment

If you vote for the candidate instead of whatever party they're aligned with, the system will evolve and change as a natural course of that action.

Granted politicians say one thing to get elected, then often do something else, so instead of listening to the election pabulum they're spewing on their campaign trail, try looking into what they've actually DONE before.

It's an old adage, yet still relevant, actions speak louder than words thumbs

Then that too would prevent new politicians from winning if they have no political history to look at. There are way too many who vote in elections but are too lazy to do the research so they vote for their party's candidate regardless.

Not really, I do the research I need to do for elections but I do understand what you mean. So many voters do no research at all because they are too lazy and just put too much trust in their political party. I would like it if we could do away with political parties and candidates never let us know which party they align themselves with.
