I hate to be stupid, but does binder specifically refer to IH, or is it certain types of other trucks, too? Also, do you know the origin of the term?

I drove a '71 Scout for several years, sold it to someone else who drove it for several years, and he sold it to someone else. I have seen it as recently as about 4 years ago, so it was still running.

Well, there ya go, then! Thanks, pro. That Scout I had, I think it would have gone up a wall, or pulled a house off the foundation, as long as you weren't in any big hurry to do it. It definitely wasn't built for speed, that one. One of my friends has a WWII-era M-1 rifle that was made by IH. Had the logo stamped right on the receiver, somewhere, I just don't remember where, at the moment. I also saw one at a gun show that was made by Singer Sewing Machine Co.
