SRV was great even though he only used minor pentonic scales in his riffs he was the best in his style others include Randy Rhoads(Ozzy)

i would put jimmy page and eric clapton in same category maybe david gilmore also but the rest are a different class.randy rhoads not too familiar with. sabbath and candlemass suck .sorry just my tastes

beck ,is very good also, but noone and i repeat noone can cover hendrix with the accuracy and fluidity from one note to the other. even clapton does not flow as smooth as stevie.eddie van halen is a punk just flailing mindlessly with no transition realization whatsoever. i cant even copy stevies fluidity, and i've been playing fo 35 years! though i'm not anywhere near the musician any of these guys are. it is one of my lifelong goals to be even a 100th the player.

yeah guess so looks like you got a good deal is it a USA model? well stay with it digger Ive been playing about that long got a 70`s gibson SG but im playing a fender lite bass I bought a gibson songbird on ebay last year

cool man. ive got a fender strat circa '75. i didnt buy the one in post, let it ride. but almost talked myself into it.glad i didnt though, cause grat deal on sabre tooth tiger skull came up the next day. bought it, sold next day for 400.00 profit and bought whole collection of ammonites worth triple my cost! good week!

I could leave pretty good cum stains all down the fret board! And in the jack hole.........and in the vol knobs, so they go sticky and seize up! Then I could smear shit all over the back of it so when you play it, it will rub off onto your clothes, that's if you're wearing any clothes. Now Hendrix never did that! Not in public anyway.

Only people who don't like SRV's style of music try to say there were better players than him. SRV was about as good as it is possible to get. I heard a story that the first time Eric Clapton heard SRV playing on his car radio, he had to pull the car over! If people like BB King and Eric Clapton say you are the best, then you are the best.
