Anyway, a few years ago I talked with a man who owns two robots, he told me more than he realised. When he makes a dye he wants the robots to copy so many times and the machine measures it, it's two steps ahead of what I envisaged. The steps are logical. As far as he's concerned he just tells the robot how he wants things made. He has no idea of the software steps involved, he just cares that he has a good product.

What you're describing is more like a (long) form letter and auto-format. Not adjusting to tell different audiences what you want them to 'learn' (what George Bush junior called 'internets'). What's now called AI is insidious: if you hand over your education to an alien power they will adjust it to suit their geopolitical interests.
