In theory it's meant to choose the "least detailed" corner, for pictures etc.
The problem is that also often means "where the text is" in these fancy new fangled internet pictures where there's a joke or a meme or whatever under a picture, because black and white text is less detail than a picture of some jerk doing stuff.
You may optionally give an explanation for why this post was reported, which will be sent to the moderators along with the report. This can help the moderator to understand why you reported the post.
