If you remove the people who die of suicide and the ones related to drug and gang violence the death rate for a country that has about one gun for every person is pretty low.
In 2015, drug overdoses accounted for 52,404 U.S. deaths
Alcohol-Related Deaths: An estimated 88,000 people die from alcohol-related causes annually.
STDs account for about 25,000 death per year.
So if we ban sex,drugs and alcohol we could save about 165,000 lives a year.
