How is this showing animosity towards poor people? The definition of poor people have changed from the 50's and 60's because the national poverty level has changed because of inflation and increased incomes. How is simple reporting showing animosity?
Basically this just shows what is included in rental property. Most rentals include a fridge and some have microwaves and/or even dishwashers.
If owning a coffee maker is a sign of affluence then I will be seen as poor even if I won the lottery, I don't drink coffee much so I don't need a coffee maker. I can also live without a microwave just not without a fridge.
