With their styles so polarly opposite it's hard to imagine them sharing a stage at all!

Heard a funny story by an old band mate of Leon Russels.

There was sposta be a practice session with his band and an orchestra one afternoon and Leon showed up a cuppla hours late. Said he entered the concert hall from the front door and walked with a limp from an old injury so he had a kinda funny walk and slowly walked/hobbled all the way down the main aisle, up the stairs, onto the stage, then to his piano bench and sat down.

The cat directing the rehersal started berating him for bein late and holding everyone else up. Leon just sat there listening until he was finished, then stood up and slowly, walked/hobbled off stage, down the steps and back out of the hall without ever sayin a word, as if to say without ever uttering anything in reply
