It is up to us to protect ourselves until the police arrive do you want to be left defenseless while you wait for the police? Buy a police scanner and listen to it for a while. You will learn the aver length of time it takes the police to arrive in your areas. In our area it is about 10 minutes but other areas it is far longer, do you want to be held hostage by a criminal while you wait or to you want to be able to do something to protect yourself and your family before the police come?
The premise of this picture is not lost on me but I choose to ignore the bias behind it.
