Killing off the ideas of meaningful consequences for aberrant behavior and then removing any sense of individual achievement can only lead to furtherment of the sheeple concept. A more docile and unthinking society is all good for the new world order types while diametrically opposed to the progression of humanity as a whole.
Huxley warned us of this in "A Brave New World" just as surely as did Orwell in "1984", both well ahead of their time.
