Having been born n raised in Dallas, there are more than a few reasons I have no desire to live there anymore, which I view with a certain sadness. It having turned into such a liberal disaster is certainly one of 'em though.

There's a black Dallas politician who's been jailed numerous times over his long career and is currently under recent indictment for 11 federal counts of influence peddling and the full gamut of similar offenses. This POS has continually been re-elected by his mostly black constituents for goin on 40yrs now, no matter what political shit storm he was under. Just the other day the single republican on the Dallas city council called for a vote for him to step down due to the furor over his federal indictments and not a single council member would even 2nd the motion, so it was just dropped.

This is exactly the kind of illogical racist governance found in the city I came from, and surely one of the reasons I'll never live there again.

There's such a wide chasm in Texas these days between the way things work in the cities vs the rural settings, with every large city having become liberal meccas, while the rural landscape is made up heavily of mostly conservatives. In this lil burg of 20k or so I've yet to have found even one person who will admit to having voted for Obozo, but in Dallas, such loons are fuckin myriad
