When there are multiple candidates, they get whittled down to two by exactly this type of mud slinging. So how is it that Obama survived? Did they keep all of this secret until after he was elected?
In Australia, our future PM ended up in a strip club in the USA but we still voted him in.
But usually it only takes one publicised indiscretion and you're out of the running.
