Well guns are highly regulated in every state as well. Just because something is intended as a weapon people think it should be banned or heavily regulated? Why not work on removing the need for weapons by trying to remove the desire to kill other people or take things which belong to others? Until we can get rid of people's base desires we will always need weapons for protection.
