Basically if it came down to having to use a "militia" to take back our government from any entity holding it illegally then anyone who can hold a guns and shoot will be fighting anyway. Even if we didn't have guns we could still put up a resistance, it would just be easier if we already had guns to get guns. A resistance can be put up with knives if done properly and guns can be acquired that way, but it is easier to start up with guns, because most unarmed people are cowards.
