I know how the electoral college works. It is a little different in each state but the fact remains that the popular vote itself does NOT elect the president and if you study the history and creation of the electoral college you will see that it was purposefully done that. If you can remember 2000, Al Gore would have been president instead of Bush if it was determined by popular vote instead of electors.
