I picked this one up for $180 including a paddle; it sold new for nearly $400. The kayak paddle I recently got (and loved) for my canoe is a better one but now I have a spare. I did this shake down cruise on a stretch of water where I recently timed myself in the canoe using my old single blade paddle and the kayak with kayak paddle are 30% faster. No fast moving streams around here (which suits me just fine 'cause I'm not in it for excitement) but I'm curious to see how it does on a breezy day with some moderate to heavy chop; alone in a canoe is a bitch on a windy day. I checked the reviews of this model on paddler.net before I got it and they were very good. Aside from the minor inconvenience of having no storage compartments or tie downs I'm very happy with it.
