Sailors always bitch a blue streak about being out at sea for so long but for the most part there is something about it they all loved. For starters, there is nothing comparable to a 360 degree horizon and the sky at night is indescribable. If I had to choose whether or not to do it over again I'd do it again without a doubt or hesitation. Sometimes I have wished I would have stayed in the Navy as a career for 30 years and had full pay retirement. It isn't that much money but beats the hell out of being unemployed without any income at all.
