The only thing this proves to me is that someone is really good at creating really crappy graphics presentations. The gubmint has been wasting our money all along. There is nothing new in that and harping about it is nothing new either. The TSA is just another gubmint agency to shoot rubber bands at. I don't disagree with any of the stuff presented though. I also am capable of seeing the challenges faced in the "war on terrorism". I don't agree with the methods and find them distasteful and degrading to the American public, but again there is nothing new in that. In times of war (and yes it is war) the gubmint has a good record of being bad in the name of National Security. It is nothing new. The same shit has been going on all along. Is it getting worse? Yes, I think so. I also think it is a lot of the same old same old and because we live in the "misinformation age" we get a lot more propaganda and manipulation of facts in our faces than ever before, therefor it may actually appear to be worse than it is. I try not to be an alarmist about it. Is it real? Yes, at least some of it. Is it misleading information? Damn right it is. It is political propaganda. Nature of the beast. I appreciate the increased willingness of the people to question the actions of the government but I think we should try to keep a balance perspective and attitude not overreact.
