Looking west, where the tall cloud is, is about where Boce Grande pass is, and beyond that the next landfall is Padre Island, Texas. It was worth getting up at 4:30 so I could get chores done, drive 1/2 hour each way, and get eaten alive by mosquitoes during the 15 minute walk each way to get to this secluded little beach on Charlotte Harbor. Next time I'm bringin' a towel and some mosquito repellent.
