He was great. I love that bluegrass stuff and he was one of the very best.
Playing banjo is a lot of fun too. I have a 4 string banjo I want to get a 5 string neck for but can't find one ready to go and bolt on. This one the body, tailpiece and bridge are original for a 5 string, someone just stuck a 4 string neck on it and chintzed it out. It was free to me. Another of my "someday" projects.
