I recently watched a documentary about the Amish and it struck me that they are religious extremists, but they're extremists with an "I'm OK, you're OK' and "live and let live" attitude, unlike many extremists who want to cram their religion down everyone's throat, or worse, kill everyone who won't accept their religon. I think everyone can learn a lot from the Amish, from how to live off the grid to getting along with others who have different viewpoints.
