This is how old I am... I remember my dad taking me to a BofA open house when I was a 6 year old kid so we could look at IBM's most advanced computer system for commercial use they were showing off there. This was a punch-card reading/sorting system and had about 10 huge machines the size of small pickup trucks daisy chained around the bank lobby taking up half the room, which was a huge lobby. It had the big tape reels and big ass noisy line printers too. It is amazing how far computing technology has advanced in my lifetime. People have 1000s of times more computing power in a small calculator than that behemoth had.
