I wouldn't actually use NOS. I was making a joke. Back in the early 80's, a friend of a friend went through three engines in his '73 pinto, using NOS for street racing/showing off. 
It was his Momma's money, so he never really appreaciated what he had. Instead he treated his cars like a 5-year-old treats his toy trucks. Beat the shit out of it.
