One source says the daily death rate is around 150000 people per day. I don't know how accurate that is but it's a lot of people no matter what the actual number is.
The Christians want the rapture to come in their lifetime so they don't have to worry about physically dying. Good luck on that one. Everyone has a natural fear of death, it's part of the survival instinct. Evangelism is another selfishly motivated activity. They believe the more souls they can win for Christ the sooner the rapture will come. It is a clearly stated goal by many churches. What about trying to work towards making the world less of a hellish place? Didn't Jesus and the Bible have some serious stuff to say about that?
