One can be religious and not hold with religion. To be religious all one has to do is believe in God and the son of God. It is religion that demands you believe a host of other things that have nothing to do entering the Pearly Gates. It is possible to be religious and not believe in any organized religion. There is only one requirement to enter into heven and that is to believe that Jesus died for our sins, all else can be forgiven.
