"Hemi" is quite literally just shorthand for any engine that uses a hemispherically shaped (domed) combustion chamber. The term has been so overused in marketing as it also implies power from those of us old enough to remember the old big-block Chrysler Hemis and again just supposedly synonymous with "high powered" engines for the rest.
Honestly, nearly every engine today uses a hemi combustion chamber design so the term is really pretty useless for anything BUT marketing hype
BTW, from the look of the construction of the actual snow blower part of this thing that V-8 would quickly shred that wimply lookin bunch of crap in no time
