Using purely this graph as a basis, I'd actually say that illegal downloading REALLY hurts the musician, as they get fuck all when people buy it as it is, they'd need to make a lot of sales to actually get anything.

I know that the point it's trying to make is that it's everybody else ripping them off when they do make a sale, but if nobody's paying for it, the artist gets nothing at all instead of the measly pittance they'd otherwise get.
