Diatomacious (sp?)earth or boric acid compounds (Roach Proof) are the only viable weapons I know of for roaches.
Diatomacious earth is really cool stuff and can even be added to your pets food to help with preventing or getting rid of worms. It's made of finely ground up sea shells and it's like walkin on razor blades to all your unwelcome "bug buddies"
