never buy them online (they will charge a premium or sell them at the highest recent market closing price. find a coin dealer near you that sells them and keeps track of the price by the minute. monitor the ups and rare dows for a week or 2 and you'll see the trends. also do not buy when a company 401k's is about to toss down, this takes some research)
