For an Air Force and military history buff like myself, the answer is easy.
The large plane is the XB-70A Valkyrie, followed by a Convair B-58 Hustler chase plane. I sat along the fence at Edwards AFB in a lawn chair with dad and my little bros and watched one of the few public displays of this amazing airplane's test flights.
