So if having socialist policies is impeachable, why didn't we impeach Franklin Delano Roosevelt the most socialist president to date. You know the one that got us out of the Great Depression and Gained Victory over the Nazis. Maybe socialism is compatible with Capitalism, Freedom, Liberty, and Justice. Of course the fact that the countries with a higher standard of living than the U.S. are all socialist governments might have something to do this it. Socialism is not evil, but like any government system needs check and balances to keep it from becoming oppressive. We need Conservatism and Liberalism to keep us from Becoming Fascist or Communist.

As for gitmo, there is no great solution to it. If we keep them there we face being hypocrites and giving the terrorist fuel to recruit more. If we let them go we face possibly releasing terrorists on the world.

No one did a "bank take over" other then those which were failing and had the FDIC close them down. It is called a "bail out" and I will what it see if this was a good idea or not. I don't like the idea of loaning money to a bank with bad business practices, but what else could be done? I don't have any better idea as to what to do with these financial problems. Do you? Think about what would have happened if all the troubled banks failed. Would we be better off today?
