True enough, sad, but true.

If the government were bound by the same financial constraints as every company and individual in regards to money, lots of things would be different. If a company or individual pays for a product or service they are constrained by the idea they must 1st have the money to make the purchase, government does not.

If a company or individual writes a check without funds in the kitty to make it good, they have committed a crime and are subject to penalties, fines and loss of credit and credibility. When government commits the same act they simply implement new taxes or borrow from other governments to cover the shortfall and go on about their business.

Every few years some politician will put his mug all over the place yammering on about needing a balanced budget and in turn gets segments of his constituants thinkin he's doin a great job in protecting our financial/fiscal interests, which was problee the fuckin plan all along. But, until it actually occurs in reality, which it hasn't done yet, it's all just more bluster and blather, kinda like madnez's BS, just on a national level
