Government spending is one of those wonderful things that if done right only manages to boost the economy. I mean if the government spends $1billion in wages a large % of that billion spent is going to come back in taxes (income tax, item purchases from wages also pay a tax), so really now the government isn't spending 1 billion it's only spending a % less than that, now if you also think about it the money it does get back it's gonna re-spend and a % of that is also going to come back.

However when a government spends money on offshore projects, war?, how much of that money recycles back into the countries economy? I really don't see why Americans can get all upset about this stupid idea when you are already paying for a much bigger stupid idea. At least this one will give bob the first year medical student something to do. And enable him to later move into private practice and be able to pay more in tax in a year.

And the thing about medical care is no one if forcing you to take it. If you want better care and are willing to pay for it that's good for you. But for those that aren't willing to pay for it they should at least have the chance to get some kinda care.

Hopefully you guys are smart enough to introduce a medicare levee so if you don't have private healthcare you pay an amount of tax but if you do have it you don't have to support a public system.
