This is only one of over 15,000 recorded acts of piracy of the coast of Africa in the last 500 years.
In the last 12 months alone, over $100,000,000 has been paid in ransoms to keep the shipping lanes open.
I hope the US Navy hangs around and cleans up the area a bit.
