I dunno goins -- I stopped going to church when I realized other issues would keep me out of public office (I once harbored a dream of being a congressman and getting the good retirement), but the whole time I went to church I never beleived anything, but I nver rolled my eyes or guffawed.

Mind you, I really am not trying to defend anyone, it is just that your argument is flawed. Anyone who can make their way through a presidential campaign could certain fake sincerity for a few hours each week -- especially if that person wanted a political career in black Chicago. Church is THE ticket to votes -- kiss babies, cut ribbons, attend local events, and go to church.

so I believe that any politician can be that insincere.
