Picky eaters irritate me because, as my parents told me long ago, there are people out there who are starving (and would probably kill for a meal like that). Or, as I heard a woman tell her husband once in a newly opened restaurant that took a horribly long time to bring their order and it was wrong, "Shut up and eat it, ya oughtta be glad ya got it!" People today need to talk to someone who grew up during the great depression only to be gobsmacked by WWII to realize just how amazing our world is today, how pampered we are, and how bad it could get.
