On this graph the numbers wouldn't be applicable for the 30's. This graph deals with job losses by count based on the fact the population of the US hasn't changed excessively last 2 decades. Going back to the 30's however the population has changed dramatically so the numbers of jobs lost would not really be comparable. What would be comparable would be a percentage of jobs lost then and now and that would make for an interesting graph.
