I expect that other like-minded thinkers on this site will conclude at this juncture that it's pretty much a wait-and-see game. If Obama has given any indication that he's ready to work accross the aisles and bring some unity to our fractured governance, he hasn't shown it. In fact, his recent actions and appointments have served only to provoke further divisions.

The media have their darling who can do no wrong, and the glassy eyed obama-ites will be chanting his name, holding on to the "hope and change" mantra, which will be filled with many broken and empty promises down the road I assure you.


I can hope that he will succeed only in making this country better and stronger, but my fears and doubts tell me to expect the worst. Time will tell.

I'd also like to reiterate as I have stated previously that this is in no way an issue of race, to me anyway. If it's time for a black man to lead this great nation, then fine...so be it. There are several good choices, just not this one.
