Many years ago, my dad ordered a packet of seeds that were supposed to be bell peppers, but weren't. We never knew exactly what they were, some kind of tiny little red bastards, maybe 1/2" long. Just getting within 10 feet of the plants was enough to make my eyes start watering and burn my nostrils. It was kind of like getting tear-gassed, and not in a fun way. We couldn't even think of a good use for them, and no one wanted to be in charge of picking them, anyway. We just left them in the garden all Winter, and Dad plowed them under the next year.
