You can't seriously think that Yo Momma jokes started with Firesign Theatre! I had never heard of them before the previous post, but I guess it is possible that they popularized the saying. Shakespeare used 'your mother' jokes and he was well known for using popular language in use at the time, so I think Firesign Theatre may have picked it up from elsewhere!
