To me it only points up the fact he was acquiteed at all on the murder counts since he was eventually convicted in the civil case. The old sayin "You get the justice you can afford." certainly seem relevent
Not exactly what legislators had in mind when the laws were drafted I'm sure, but it damned sure works that way
