It is not living in fear, it is just being prepared just like having insurance for your car, house or yourself. You buy car insurance not because you plan on having a wreck but just in case you do and do you drive your car in fear everyday, I don't think so. I do not always own a gun because sometimes I need the money but when I do onw a gun I am not living in fear and when I don't own a gun I am not living in fear then either.
