If any of you are going to China for the Olympics, I suggest you try some of this stuff (Kongfu Jia jiu). No it is not the best of the Chinese White Liquor (bai jiu), nor would I even say that it is good in a conventional sense, but it is interesting and it will help you understand Chinese culture. As a bonus, a friendly Chinese person wishing to practice English will probably tell you the story about the famous family to whom the recipe is credited. I hear it is a good time to book travel to BeiJing -- suddenly some of the big hotels have a few rooms unexpectedly available. Cheers.
